| This poem goes out to all of my friends taking finals this week:
Final Exams by Brod Bagert
In would ride a wave To an island of pleasure, Or search the deep For a chest full of treasure, Or float alone In a hot-air balloon To follow the fog All the way to the moon, Or ride a camel Through cold desert night, Or walk through a forest Lit with green fairy light.
I'm ready for life's journey Through happiness and sorrow, Just save me from this stupid test I have to take tomorrow.
Good luck!

| It's storming. I love storms.
Today I turned in my senior survey thingy and got all of my Alumni Association stuff. I even got one of those little orange stickers for my car. Oh yes, I got a new car last Saturday. A 2006 Ford Escape. It's beautiful and so reliable! Got Kels and I to and from Shawnee for Katie's shower. That was fun. Anyway, back to my alumni stuff. I'm now a member of the OSU Alumi Association! Yay!
I have a week left of student teaching and then another week until graduation! I'm very excited and very scared. But I think I'm more excited.
I can't think of anything else to write, so I'm going to go enjoy the storm. And Rascal Flatts. Cause I love them.

| President Bush is speaking at graduation!!! How awesome is that? But man it's gonna be crazy!
Oh yes...and I'm going to look at cars tonight!

| It's 2:30 am. I'm the wrong Fletcher up at this time of the night. But I'm up puking and have chills. Oh, the joys of being a teacher. | | |
| Ok, as promised, here is a run-down of our trip. Actually, I copy and pasted it from my pleonast. And my pics are up on facebook if you want to see them. -It rained on us almost the entire way to Houston last Saturday
-We got on our HUGE boat on Sunday afternoon and it took me all
week to figure out how to get around that thing. It was a little
ridiculous! I had to share a room with Matt and Michael. It was tiny,
but we made it work. The toilets made this crazy sucking noise that
rivaled that of the famous Bailey toilets!
-It was super windy and so our first 2 days on the boat were VERY
rocky. It was so bad that they had barf bags taped up on walls and in
random places on the boat. No lie.
-On Monday night we realized that the boat had stopped and we found
out that the rumor that there were 28 Cuban refugees on board was true.
The Coast Guard came and picked them up and took them back to Cuba
since they never made it to the U.S. they had to go back. It was kinda
sad and all the crew members were watching because they'd gotten to
know them for the past couple of days. It made me thankful that we live
in a free country.
-On Wednesday we went to Montego Bay, Jamaica. We went to a private
beach, so we missed all the drug dealers and stuff. I learned how to
snorkel, which was really cool, and I got a massage! First one ever.
That was niiice!
-On Thursday we went to Grand Cayman, where my family went on an
excursion and swam with sting rays. I touched and kissed a sting ray
(it's supposed to be 7 years of good luck). That was pretty cool and
definitely not something that I thought I'd ever do. We did some more
snorkeling and saw a huge eel that was trying to bite a guy. That was a
little creepy and made me squeal and swim back to my daddy! Oh, and the
best part of this stop was that I bought a tshirt that says "Shiver Me
Timbers" so I'm toally ready for camp now!
-Friday we went to Cozumel, Mexico and shopped. They sure like to
harrass their customers in Mexico! I've never been so hounded to buy
things in my life! I did, however, get a Mexican boyfriend who ripped
me off on a necklace I bought from his "Mexican Target" (yes, that's
what he called his 10x10 room). I bought it for $10 and saw it for
$4.95 in like 3 other stores. Oh well, I'm sure he needed the money.
And I think he just wanted me for my U.S. citizenship! :)
-To get back to the boat from Cozumel, we had to ride a tender
(small boat) and that ride was SO SCARY! The wind wasn't cooperating,
and so there were huge waves and the boat was going nuts. I thought Amy
was going to throw up in the bag of stuff she just bought. And
apparently, my mom, who was on a different tender, almost fell into the
ocean when she was going from the tender to the ship. She said there
was a big wave and then a 3 foot gap between the boats and the guys
working had to pull her back into the tender. Very scary!
-We had the coolest wait staff in the dining room. Anthony is from
Jamaica and Nutteera is from Thailand. They were hilarious and knew
exactly what we wanted and how we wanted it by the end of the week. I'm
sure we were their most entertaining table! I mean, come on...we had
Matt, Michael, and my dad!
-Sunday morning we had to lug all of our stuff down 5 flights of
stairs to get off the boat and then prove that we're U.S. citizens.
That was my first time out of the country, so customs was a new thing
for me. Very exciting.
And that's my trip in a not-so-small nutshell. One of the best
parts of the trip was hearing from my grandma that it was freezing and
even snowed in Tulsa while we were gone. HAHAHA!
I hope all of you have a great week!
Oh yeah, I forgot...I got a tattoo! ;) Don't worry, it's airbrushed and will come off in a week!
Oh yeah again...they played nothing but Backstreet Boys, NSync, Britney Spears, etc. the whole cruise, and I'm sad to say, I actually miss that music!
